Harrington Malting Barley

Introduced in the early 1980s, Harrington malting barley quickly became the Canadian and then the international gold standard for quality in high-enzyme, two-row malting barley. Barley can be grown in spring or winter, and tends to create the best results when planted early in the season. For winter barley, October is the best time to plant. For spring barley, plant in January. Barley grows best in cool ground—ideal temperatures hover right around freezing. Arrange the seeds so you have about 20-25 barley plants per square foot of space. Nutritious, delicious and easy to cultivate, barley is a common sweet grain with loads of health benefits and a variety of purposes.

Packet contains 4 tablespoons.
