Red Fife Wheat

First grown in Canada in 1843. This is a late variety that was the cornerstone of Prairie agriculture. Red Fife is a “landrace” variety which means it has greater genetic diversity and ability to adapt to changing conditions than hybrid varieties. Plant in late fall or early spring 5” apart.
